Seeking Sellers/Vendors for Clay County’s Largest Community Yard Sale + October 7, 2017, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Are you thinking about a yard sale, but don’t want to deal with people tromping around your home, cars parked all over the street and lawns, and upset neighbors? Why not rent a space at Waste Not Want Not’s 6th Annual Community Yard Sale to hold your sale in a high visibility location with easy parking.  More than 60% of our vendors last year were repeat vendors from previous years.

Waste Not Want Not is seeking participants for Clay County’s Largest Community Yard Sale to be held at Town Hall Park in Orange Park on October 7, 2017, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. If you would like to hold your own yard sale as part of a multi-family sale, this is your chance! Waste Not Want Not will be advertising this event to the community and expects a large number of shoppers. Town Hall Park is located at the corner of Kingsley Ave and Rt.17/Park Ave and restrooms will be available at Town Hall. This event is a fundraiser for Waste Not Want Not, at which we will be selling new and used items, food and drinks for shoppers to enjoy while they browse, and bake sale items to take home.

All are welcome to rent a 15’ x 15’ space to sell household goods (no sales of ready-to-eat food or drinks) for a $30 rental fee per space. If requested in advance, electricity can be made available for an additional $5. (Waste Not will provide at no charge a centrally located “Testing Area” where potential purchasers can plug in electronic items to test them before purchasing.)  Vendors may begin setting up no earlier than 7 a.m. and must leave their space free of any items and litter by 3 p.m. (No vehicles in sales area between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.) Vendors provide any tables, tents, chairs, or extension cords needed. In case of an extremely inclement forecast, Waste Not reserves the right to reschedule the event by notifying you no later than Thursday, October 5, at the email address you provide on the Seller’s Agreement. There will be no refunds for any reason.

To reserve a space, please print out and complete this Seller’s Agreement and return the form with your check made out to Waste Not Want Not, PO Box 119, Orange Park, FL 32067.

January is usually a slow month for food rescue, BUT

not this year!  Based on our preliminary numbers for the month, our hard-working volunteers have rescued close to 161,ooo pounds of food so far this year.  In addition to the usual baked items and restaurant foods, we also rescued two pallet-loads of frozen mango smoothie mix, 160 cases of Brussel sprouts, and 8,000 pounds of potatoes refused by stores for various reasons and several hundred pounds of meat that another charity failed to pick up as scheduled.  Waste Not Want Not putting food where it belongs – on plates, not in landfills.
